Martinez Studio is thrilled to announce that our weaving Tronco, designed by Sandra and woven by Wence, is recipient of Award for Excellence in Fibers for wall or floor work. Tronco and Martinez Studio will be profiled in the 2019 winter edition of Fiber Art Now magazine, which is available at Barnes & Noble, various bookstores, and online. We were selected from a pool of several hundred entries by three jurors: Carol Sauvion of Craft in America in Los Angeles, Perry Price of Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and Beth McLaughlin of Fuller Craft Museum in Boston. Additionally, Wence’s weaving Ojo de Agua is one of 15 works chosen for exhibition at the Craft in America Center in Los Angeles from May 11-July 6.
