Hello Friends,
On October 15th, 2022, the 15th Annual Canyon Road Paint & Sculpt Out is taking place and we are excited to become part of the tradition by featuring the brilliant work of figurative sculptor Brian Barreto. Join us as Brian sculpts live and discusses his philosophy and technique in front of Martinez Studio - Santa Fe, from 11AM-3PM.
Brian began sculpting while in high school apprenticing, then Milwaukee based, sculptor Terese Agnew. After, he traveled to Germany to study and work as an apprentice stone sculptor, later continuing his study at the University of Wisconsin. He has been evolving his technique ever since and loves sharing his knowledge and teaching others. Residing in Dixon, you can also view his work at the annual Dixon Studio Tour - this year on Nov 5th & 6th, at site 10, 2219 NM 68 Embudo, NM.
We will host a follow up event at Studio Martinez - Santa Fe on May 5th, 2023, where we will feature a showing of his new works in stone and bronze. Help welcome this brilliant artist into our extended Martinez Studio family!
